Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 13, 2026
SharedHangar is operated by Pattern Interrupt Inc. You can delete your SharedHangar account and the personal information in it at any time. You do not need our permission and you do not need to explain why.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open the SharedHangar app on iOS or Android.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm it is you — with your password, or by signing in with Google again if that is how you sign in.
Deletion takes effect immediately. You are signed out on every device.
Before it asks you to confirm, the app tells you exactly what deletion would remove — whether you are the only member of an account, and which accounts would be deleted along with you.
If you are the last administrator
If you are the only administrator of an account that still has other members, the app will not delete your account, because doing so would leave those members with no one able to administer it. Make someone else an administrator on that account first, then delete yours. The app names the account and tells you this when it applies.
Or ask us to do it
If you cannot reach the app — you uninstalled it, you lost the device, or you signed up on the website — email privacy@sharedhangar.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.
We verify the request against that address, complete the deletion within 30 days, and email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, hashed password, time zone, and notification preferences;
- Your sign-in credentials, including any Google sign-in link;
- Your membership of every account you belong to;
- Your personal details inside audit and transaction records, which are anonymized in place.
If you are the only member of an account, that account is deleted too — its aircraft, bookings, flight and maintenance logs, squawks, endorsements, and uploaded documents go with it.
If you share an account with other people, only you are removed. The aircraft and the records that belong to that shared account stay, because they belong to the other members as much as to you. If you want those removed as well, every member has to delete their account, or an administrator has to delete the account itself.
What is kept, and for how long
- Transaction records — kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, with your personal details removed.
- Audit log entries — kept for security and fraud prevention, with your personal details removed.
- Backups — overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data can persist in a backup for a short period after it is gone from the Service.
- Diagnostic reports — crash reports are retained up to 90 days and are not linked to your account.
Before you delete
Deletion cannot be undone. Download anything you need first — flight logs, maintenance history, and uploaded documents are not recoverable afterwards, and you are responsible for keeping your own copies of records you are required by regulation to retain.
If your account has an active subscription, cancel it first or it continues to bill the account's administrator. Deleting your own membership does not cancel the account's subscription.
